Hi Nathaniel, thank you for this and all other videos. You are talking about things that capture how I feel lately and it brings me a lot of joy in life. First time in my life I feel like I'm living my life rather than being a passenger and the changes are immense! I started to trush my feelings, guts, intuition....whatever you call it and things started happening so fast that I'm struggling to believe it's all true. I feel like I'm living in my dreams. I set myself a challenge to paint a big canvas blindfolded. And I'd like to ask you a big favour. Can you recommend a music that speaks to you, music YOU like? I've been struggling to find music that "moves" me, make me feel. Something that resonates with my soul. And who ever READS this, please do the same. I've realized that PEOPLE will always give you the answer to your questions if you listen carefully🤗 Thank you all!!! Love, Jan

Nathanial, first of I would like to thank you for painting a lovely picture of our "attention", that flashlight at 3am is a beautiful concept. I like to believe that we "hallucinate" and anticipate the things that are outside of that beam of light. Now- I have an extremely valuable pairing of psychology concepts to bring you: When your bring that attention to set number of things, your trajectory will be "Game Transfer Phenomena", and "Functional Fixedness". As the currents in our brains become more insulated through repetition, the channels of thought that our passions flow through take a prominent role in how we perceive new information through our senses. When we choose a specialization in life, we begin to see everything through that lens. That lens can be multi-disciplinary of course... this is my best attempt at using current psychology terms to describe how we create and refine our perspectives.

Remember your life? lol who wants to do that? Even if you document your life you'll end up forgetting it. The brain will decompose, no longer having the ability to create new memories or recreate old ones. All knowledge is lost. Alot of photobooks that my family has will end up in the garbage. The best George Harrison album is Titled: All Things Must Pass. Removing attachment from all worldly possesions will yet us free. We are born from oblivion and we die to oblivion.

    Mese fa

"You're doing the remembering now, not in the future." This really hits home for me. The most vivid memories of my life are those when, in the moment, I had an acute feeling of living something special and unique and most importantly, ephemeral. The pictures can reinforce that feeling, for sure, but they can never create it. I studied abroad for a year in Barcelona, and one day with my friends we spent the entire night on the hills above the city, just talking about life and enjoying the moment together before we all went our separate ways. I remember very vividly the bus ride home, in the heat of the summer that was just beginning, with the lights and the warmth of my friends' presence by my side. Such a heartwarming memory, and it really echoes what you're saying in the video. Thank you for all the beautiful things you make, Nathaniel.
